FE 450 Heritage 2025

The latest technology, the best components, and an unrivalled riding experience. The FE 450 Heritage model offers it all. Producing a broad spread of controllable power, the engine has been designed to position all shaft arrangements at the ideal centre of gravity for exceptional manoeuvrability. Aiding this agile feel is the chassis, which is manufactured using advanced engineering techniques to be perfectly balanced for a less fatiguing ride. Together with WP XACT suspension, enhanced comfort across rough terrain is assured. Complete with modern electronics and high-quality components, the FE 450 is finished with distinctive graphics exclusive to the Heritage model range.

Engine
When it comes to versatility, the DOHC 350 cc engine is second to none. By sharing much of its architecture with the 250 cc engine, the FE 350 delivers a fine balance between 450-rivaling power and lightweight 250 handling.
Cylinder head
The SOHC cylinder head is incredibly compact and lightweight with the camshaft positioned as close to the centre of gravity as possible. A durable, fine-punched cam chain and Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) coated rocker arm offer optimal efficiency and reliability with a single oil spray jet providing effective cooling. Valve timings are optimised for maximum torque and a smooth power delivery.
Cylinder and piston
The lightweight aluminium cylinder is an engineering masterpiece with a 95 mm bore and a stroke of 63.40 mm. Inside, the forged CP bridged-box-type piston features anodised annular grooves for added durability and extended service intervals. The compression ratio is 12.75:1.
Frame
The chromium molybdenum steel frame is expertly crafted using laser-cut, robot-welded, hydro-formed tubes, ensuring the highest level of precision and quality. The specifically crafted geometry utilises advanced longitudinal and torsional flex characteristics, for unparalleled rider feedback, energy absorption and exceptional straight-line stability. The cylinder head mountings are made of forged aluminium, improving handling and comfort. The premium white powder coated frame features standard frame protectors, providing extra durability.
Hybrid subframe
Made from 60% polyamide and 40% aluminium, the two-piece subframe ensures exceptional strength and durability at an overall weight of just 1.8 kg. The lower subframe spars and frame mounts are manufactured from cast aluminium for maximum reliability. The upper section of the subframe is made from injection-moulded polyamide to enable specific flex characteristics and ensure a lightweight construction.
Swingarm
The swingarm is manufactured using a die-cast production process for optimal rigidity. To match the flex characteristics of the chassis, a 22 mm rear axle is utilised. Additionally, the swingarm is designed to enhance the durability of the chain glider while the chain guide features a rounded profile that makes it less prone to catching on external objects.
