Position Summary

The Marine Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining primarily boats and marine systems, along with supporting powersports units such as ATVs and side-by-sides. This role requires strong troubleshooting ability, attention to detail, and the discipline to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform complete and accurate inspections and estimates on initial evaluation
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues
• Repair and service units according to flat-rate standards
• Follow manufacturer procedures and service bulletins
• Document findings and recommendations clearly on repair orders
• Identify and advise service advisors of additional needed repairs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Move units in and out of the shop as needed
• Properly clock labor operations in Lightspeed
• Maintain current certifications and training requirements
• Work collaboratively with advisors and other technicians to ensure quality repairs

Qualifications

• Mechanical experience required (marine or powersports preferred)
• Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical systems
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work efficiently in a flat-rate environment
• Valid driver’s license (motorcycle endorsement helpful but not required)
• Ability to safely operate boats, ATVs, and side-by-sides
• Professional attitude and team mindset

Schedule

Full-Time — Tuesday through Saturday

Pay: $45,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
